You can safely clean it as long as you don't use any abrasive cleaners. ;)

Im sure pilkington suggests that you should only use soapy water, or just pure using wfp.
I think any sort of chemical can damage the coating,
Also dont use a scraper for the same reason as above

i would certainly NOT use anything like TFR - i doubt i would use virosol either

a small amount of ecover washing up liquid for anything really stubborn but pure is more than good enough
to do 'self cleaning' glass

if the finnals and plastics are really bad and it's self cleaning glass then your in for a bit more scrubbing with pure and price the job accordingly - most dirt and algae will come off when scrubbed - if not then your into upvc restorer territory - which again is more pounds  ;D

if the custy doesn't know err on the side of caution/safety or get a waiver signed.

Well, the answer is in the post title itself,if it's self cleaning I would'nt bother ,I've had loads of people dump me in the past because the now have SELF CLEANING GLASS,then after 4-5 months they ring you up to clean their windows,Ooops sorry mate ,your space has been taken......... ;D ;D ;D ;D
But for a realistic answer I would just use wfp ;)
