smart looking van and system.  I bought a 2005 caddy (with less miles, but this is still good mileage) 2 years ago for just over  £6,000, without system.  This looks pretty good, professional.

Just check the clutch is good on this, vw can have probs with flywheels........

on a side note i am looking to downgrade to a 500 litre up against bulkhead, so presumably this is within the axle tolerances if its been "professionally" fitted.

Smart....

Thanks for your comments.

I did wonder about the payload so will check. We have a Dispatch and 500 is the absolute max this could cope with and the Caddy seems smaller.

Is it a problem that the van has no waterproof coating or is this irrelevant due to external ports?

You`ll almost certainly not be able to fill that tank to capacity without going over the payload and thats with 1 person in it.
Payloads have been my speciality for the last 2 weeks as i look for a better payload van than my combo. The combo is so good on fuel and great around the houses/streets where it can generally be parked so easily without being in the way so i don`t want anything as big as a transit/vivaro  but it can`t take me out with 500litres plus for some commercial work thats likely to come my way. I think(know) the caddy is about 703kg payload. A connect 230lwb is 900kg and would cope.

This was interesting and worth reading. Both pages.

I can really only carry 400 litres with all my kit and me (100kg). up against bulkhead prob slightly overloads front axle too.

I don't use external ports but apart from once don't ever get leaks/spillages and rust has never been an issue either. they are solid well made vehicles.
