« on: February 29, 2012, 03:46:47 pm »
i do tile and grouting and general hard floors as an add on to carpets etc
went to do a quote for lady for tile and grouting, when i got there it was wall tiling she wants done
with the floors i normally spray the grouting with a viper chemical from alltec, brush in with a grout brush, then go over the floor with a rotary with a scrubbing brush.
im presuming im gonna have to brush by hand with same chemicals, anyone got a better idea?

Phosphoric based cleaner.  Here's a tip, try mixing it with a foaming upholstery shampoo so it clings better and doesn't all run off ;)

If you've got a minitex they work quite well with the scrubbing brush attachments (I'd use the softer one, not with the silly bristles round the outside either.

Otherwise just a normal hand brush, or if the joints are thick enough get a grout brush up it.

Just rinse off with plain water using a cloth/sponge!  Problem will be if you can't let water run down the wall so hope it's all in the shower cubicle or over the bath... or it's a wet room!  Can be done over other floors but carefully!

I wouldn't buy it specifically for the job but it's a very versatile machine... one that you'd find lots of uses for like agitating or even a full LM clean of upholstery... bonneting stairs, scrubbing hard floors in confined spaces/steps etc

Just don't lean on it too hard like I did and break it!

Buy Bonaclean Gel from Bonasystems.

Smear it on with an applicator and leave for 15 mins.

Quick scrub with a wooden deck brush then hose off.
