Neighbours (what would you do)
« on: February 27, 2012, 07:46:43 pm »
I clean my neighbours windows.

Unfortunately last year had a bit of a tiff with next door.

Get the old hot cold treatment sometimes get a hello other times no ;D

I still clean their windows but really under the circumstances wish i never had.

What would you do?
Trying to think of all types of excuses etc.

They always pay ok :D
Ps. their 2 yr old was pi55ing by my front door that's what started it and i would have laughed it off if next door had just said sorry.

But was told that's what children do :o
I kept cool and just said politest way not exceptable.

Tricky one, anyone else had this type of thing.
Think it is best never to work for friends or neighbours :D

bad idea imo,i do 3 across the road these are ok as they pay and i get on with them but never really wanted them in the first place, its just 1 lady kept asking as her windy was cr@p,so meant i had to do other 2 aswell now picked another so thats 4  now :o,

but neighbours either side of me are a complete nightmare havnt got a life the women dont work and they are just moaners and very nosey people, had quite a few run ins with them about different stuff, would never do there windows EVER! 1 of the women has grassed me to the dole thinking i mite be claiming benefits still, this was when i was made redundent before started on the glass, grassed me to enviromental health when i started a mobile catering stall, and the council aswell, rung the police when we've had parties she is a complete bi tch, then a week ago while doing my windows she had the nerve to ask me if i would do her windows  :o i stared at her for a second and said iv got to much cant fit anymore in,think she saw me today cleaning the new one i picked up  ;D

iv also had freinds/family on the round and got couple left dropped most of them as they hard get money off when you no them for some reason, and dont take anyone i no anymore

Making friends out of customers is one thing. Making customers out of friends or neighbours is another.

I never work for friend, family or neighbours.
if it is dirty it is fair game

I got the hump with our neighbour who's windows I was doing. I just stopped doing them, they've not said a word, that was 2 years ago. You could try just stopping.

Matt, what did the G1ts do to you then?

I used to clean their windows at a slightly discounted rate. The woman opened a shop nearby, so I went in there to buy something, despite ne giving them a discount for cleaning her windows she wouldn't give me a discount when the shoe wad on the other foot. Petty maybe, but I couldn't be arsed with her afterwards.

You should bear the following in mind:

Neighbours, Everybody needs good neighbours
With a little understanding
You can find the perfect blend
Neighbours...should be there for one another
That's when good neighbours become good friends
Ooh Neighbours, should be there for one another
That's when good neighbours become good friends.

Can't believe nobody beat me to it. Shame on you all  :P

Was she aware you were giving her a discount. If not she will have though it was your going rate. ps what ever happened with the reverend whose bush you butchered. Did you send that letter?
