Hi Dan,

Im in Bournemouth so not too far away. Is the machine you bought from ebay?? Do you know what its called?
There are a few guys in and around Southampton I'm sure will be willing to help, try Simon at Gerrards!!!

The prochem course would be a great start but I would still say you will learn more by just being on jobs with experienced guys!!!

I thought that would be the machine. First thing would be to get rid of that as soon as funds allow, it is far inferior to any other 'entry level' machine. Having said that im sure it will do a job in getting you started.

Have you heard of 'Enterprise Cleaning' - google or search the forums!!
Personally I woulldnt even think about dealing with 'EnServe' same guys that own both by the way!!!

Moving on to the guys around you in Southampton, I'm sure plenty of the other guys on here will agree when I say that we try as much as possible to look at each other as colleagues rather than competition. I personally dont have any competition, cant be dealing with all the b*tching that comes with it and also, you never know when you may need to draw on someone elses experience.

You would be more than welcome to come out with me but I'm only a few years in myself so although I know what I'm doing I wouldnt yet class myself as experienced.

I don't think my guy in Southampton would thank me for helping to create, or encourage another competitor in the area. I'm not being mean minded, but we are in business to beat our competitors, not to help them.
Always glad to help anyone out of the area though.

i see nothing wrong with your machine as starter or backup machine later ...

It basically holds two 1400w motors and a 160 psi pump ...   it sucks and squirts like all the rest , as long as it isn't leaking or falling apart i dont see much reason to part with it for the time being ...
weren't these selling for about 600  on e-bay ?   cant go wrong there , and vacs can be £50  to replace whenever need be  :)

I believe they make a version with a 2000 heater (GMC-3H)  if you have no heat , i would spend 400 or so on an inline heater ...

what you have then i know i could do basic work with ...  the victor for either agitation , pre or post bonneting , occasional LM jobs ...  the sebo , and your twin vac  .
I would get an inlineheater and a couple of airmovers next  ,  and a new machine when ever you can afford it .

When I started a well established cleaner told me that he was not worried as there was more than enough work out there-----  all you have to do is go and get it.

Good luck   ( But I live in the Midlands ;D)
God must love stupid people---He made so many.
