Looking at wonder wand on Amtech site, the one
with the rollers on.
Anybody any feedback on them.
Do they dry more and are they easier to use.
Trying to justify the price.

They are the original Marmite wand.
i absolutley love mine, i can clean any
carpet at 500 Psi if i wish, without any
overwetting problems. Most carpets you
can clean with one hand, it's that easy.
Mine's nearly 5 years old and in that time
i've replaced the valve once. Stainless steel
jets have not worn out but i did pinch a jet seal
once so replaced that.
it takes about a month to really get used to it,
as it moves over the carpet so easily, you find
yourself thinking it's not working properly. this
is why it takes a little time to adjust to it.

I agree, the marmite tool, you'll love it or hate it so try and borrow one to try before you buy.

i have 1 as well and i love it but the problem is i have to replace very often the little rubber sleals on the jets , and is not cheep . you guys replace them very often or not ? or i am doing something wrong here ?

Bee’s knees or dog’s big ones take your pick.  I’ve got both the twin and triple but only one roller on each , but as said it takes a bit of time to get used too (Colin Fitch it a pull wand not a push     ) as for dry more! They say 30% plus


If you were more local I would be prepared to loan you one for a trial (TBYB)

Why are you replacing the rubber seals so often? Have had mine about three years not one, what cleaning agent are you using in the tank just a thought

i been using sometimes f/f rinse on tank , that could be the problem ? so i stoped using it now so lets see what happen . any tips welcome .

We run one on each of our extractors.

Both 2 & 3 jet flavours depending on pump spec.

On the occasion we have to extract commercial tile due to floods from coffee machines etc we find we dont need to bonnet afterwards to reduce chance of wick back. Because the rinse solution never stops moving it recovers it from low profiles really well.

On wool it amazing. Drastically reduces the need for dry passes and as AJB says you can run much higher psi/flow safely.

I must be the other side  of the marmite... I found it rubbish, I beleive the reason it leaves carpets dryer is it does not allow the solution to fully penetrate the fibre, it skims the top... so on a low profile carpet its fine but what about carpets with a deeper pile? is it romoving the soil deep down in the carpet?

I used it for about 2 week then chiucked it in the shed

CfR make a fantastic handtool used by 1000s of carpet cleaners ,any asks about handtools they are mentioned, if the wonder wand was as good we all would be using them but its only used by a few carpet cleaners..... but we all know about it.... why does'nt everyone use them?

Have used a Wonder Wand for some years, when loop pile carpets started to increase in popularity. I find it flushes out soil and stains more easily without wetting backing and therefore one assumes reduces drying times.

There is a little knack to using the wand one-handed - lift up on the rear rinsing strokes and drop on forward drying strokes. I can keep my back straighter when using a Wonder Wand, therefore less tiring than conventional wand. Now that's got to be good news!

With a truckmount you would seriously struggle to move
it easily on a carpet, you would keep suffering lockdown.
This rules out lots of cleaners.
As the "Marmite" wand you will find negative reviews around
the net, which means at the price many cleaners would not
contemplate buying, just in case they don't get on with it.
Mine is 5 years old and cost over £600 then. How many
cleaners use glides on their wands as a necesssity to make
the job easier, this is an expense un-necessary with a Wonderwand.
