Well, I visited Extracta today in gateshead for a demo. I viewed the exel machine and was immediatly impressed. I was shown it with the scrubba deluxe tool. Even more impressed.

Ive just filled In the lease purchase form, for both the exel and scrubba. will be sending that off, and booking 2of us onto exgractas training course.

Really looking forward to this mew venture

Have a good look round at other machines before you commit yourself.
I think the extractor is ok but there are alternatives.
God must love stupid people---He made so many.

i agree with the last post, take a look around as i think there are better machines out there for a comparable price however having said that my first machine was an extracta and i had no complaints with the machine ,  the training,
or extracta customer service.

if you are local to extracta then it is probably a good move . if your not then look around for an alternative supplier as ther are in my opinion better machines out there.

Take your time to decide or you could make an expensive mistake, Extracta may be brilliant i dont know, but i remember when i started i went to a supplier in Kent !
to see a machine and was equally impressed, i got that machine and it was the worst decision  i ever made in business. the machine was ok but the customer satisfaction side of it was *&$%£"$$%$%$ awful.

lee - your extracta will serve you well and make you lots of money before you consider upgrading or replacing, built to last and gives good results...

Not going to effect me then  :D
I use Extracta gear so if you need any advice or help don't be afraid to call!
I would seriously consider Restormate in Cramlington as well. I get a lot of stuff from them. John and Lynn are incredibly helpful so when your in the area pop in to see them! They do a package for low profile carpet cleaning for about £700. One of the best decisions I ever made to get in to that game!

Nobody's put him off or sent him links to alternatives ... which i great , im not going to either  :)
Its a bit like the carpet cleaning machine equivalent or a Bristol or old Bentley ... old body design , lots switches and gauges but rather cool and well built all the same .
Bet if you asked them for performance data , they would say its adequate .

If i was to be positive about the features , id say the pump is reliable , good flow , copes with immersion heat well  .
The 7.2 vacuums are probably more efficient than those they used years ago .
The tanks are easy filled and easy cleaned .
An immersion heater is fool proof reliable ( provided u dont switch it on empty )
Price is ok ish .

If its used with the scrubba , or small wand ( i would get a 10" single jet )and at close range <50'  like in the extracta site pics ( they should be wearing ear protection )  it should give you great results and years of service .

One thing i curious from pics ...  how is the vac hose connector half way down the waste tank level ? ... is it not directly coupled , looks like it might height adjust on that front grove ? how that would be of benefit to anyone i have no idea ...

Yes they should have updated it generally a bit by now btw.  :)

Good Luck Ryan,  I think most of this comes down to the operator and your skills, and then how you look after the machine, unless you get a Friday POETS one.
