haha. its true they will go out in mass.

I have seen aspects of my leaflet copied by other window cleaners in my area. Its a compliment really but I still dont like it.

Mine are being delivered in surrey and sussex only. I am sitting here waiting for the first 100k to turn up now.

My delivery starts this sunday when 12,000 will be going out. then its 8-12,000 a week for the next 15 - 20 weeks!

Got our new uniforms yesterday and new poles from gardiners turning up today. Im really buzzing about work at the moment. We have a target of 700 new customers this year. Thats alot of first cleans!

lol. I wish I could deliver 12,000 in one day myself. The print and delivery of the 100k is costing me £10,000 -£4k for print and £6k for delivery

I am using Jogpost Ltd. I tried them out last year with 1 drop of 12,000 and had the best return ever. That drop was done on the 11 sep last year and I even got a new customer from it last week. Fantastic and worth every penny.

Lee who have you used to print them? I'm after some new ones as I now offer different services than when I first started up so I want them all put on my new leaflet. I also want the a5 size foldable ones as I like the look of them, did your company you used design them as well as print them?

I designed them myself. Before window cleaning I came from a sales and marketing background, so its what I do if you know what I mean.

The company I used is based 2 min from my office and is called Gamut media solutions. The owner is a friend of mine and I cant fault what hes done or the price. top service.

Lee I didn't mean on your own lol, I meant employing people yourself to leaflet.  ;D

I did a leafleting campaign a couple of years ago and it put me right off as I paid to get 20,000 printed and delivered. I only got one or two phone calls from them which led me to believe that a lot of, if not most of them went in the bin.

I bought the leaflets and had them at home for a while. I then dropped them off with this company who distributed them and the company said they would bill me per thousand that were delivered. Alarm bells rang in the end when I got a bill for about 4000 leaflets being delivered and my wife pointed out I hadn't had all the leaflets delivered because she had put the ones I'd been delivering in the cupboard behind the kitchen door because I'd left them in her way!

Ok cheers mate. I'll keep searching the net till I find someone that will do the full lot for me. I have a good idea of what I want but the pro,s always make them look that bit more Proffesional than we can.

hey lee,

i;m 100% in agreement.  i wouldn't give anyone a leaflet whos a WC.  they take so much work to pout together and are so expensive too.  anyhow, all your hard work is what your franchisees are going to be buying off you

This is exactly why I will now only use jog post. they have methods of monitoring the drop so that you know they have been done. There is no doubt when you see them working for yourself. that and the phone going mad.

If you don't mind me asking. How much would you say you pay per customer?

From leaflets it works out at £20.00 a customer

I have a woman that door knocks for me, and one of my staff doors knocks for me they get paid £10.00 per customer.

Just out of interest Lee, how much would it have cost to employ someone like George(super canvasser) for say 14 weeks?
As I understand it ,his hit rate is about 10 per day(give or take) so at 50 per week etc...
Not trying to say your method isnt suitable ,but interested to know if you had considered this in your planning?

Best of luck for your expansion , sounds daunting and exciting in equal measures :D

I would not do that because a customer that has seen a price and decided to come to you of their own accord is twice as strong than one canvassed. What im doing is also cheaper per customer. We do a little door knocking as I said but not much.

I made a little video on the i phone today of the leaflets and all our new poles ect ect. I will try to post it later.

Yes I would like to see that Lee
What prompted you to go down the franchise route?
I know that Ian Lancaster has been very successful doing this so did you use his experience as a template for your business model?
As an aside , without knowing your company size etc... but did you ever consider directly employing a canvasser - the only reason I say this is is in response to your
earlier reply.A direct employee would surely have greater resonance with prospective customers?
My apologies for the avalanche of questions  :D
