The Harness, is a relay, correct? This will be faulty, it's not stopping the current after starting - like it should.
He means starter solenoid. This pushes the cog up to the flywheel when the starter is operated as soon as you release the key the solenoid should retract. It obviously isn't so may be dodgy solenoid or it may be the teeth are badly chewed so it is being trapped in place rather than retracting. May also be a wiring fault. Regardless it should'nt be that expensive to sort out. I would start by spraying some wd40 into the solenoid starter area. There should be an opening near here to do this.
