Leave it this month - new letter.
« on: February 21, 2012, 10:02:01 pm »
I fire this letter through the door as I'm doing the other houses in the street. The price here is x1.5 what they normally pay.

Thank you for your text message yesterday. The service that we offer our customers is a regular 6 weekly or 12 weekly window clean and I'm sorry that I did not make this clear when I started working for you.

I understand that occasionally there are circumstances beyond your control that mean that we cannot work on your property: If you would please consider keeping these to a minimum it would be greatly appreciated.

If you have any questions about our service or you would prefer a 12 weekly clean; priced at £27.00 including the sills, frames and door then please do not hesitate to let me know.

If they have the habit of skipping cleanes then maybe, but if you don't know the reason why they skipped a clean then I wouldn't come down too hard on them - especially if they were good enough to text you beforehand.

Unless you've got more customers than you know what to do with then it's not really worth risking your reputation over.

Besides,  the time you waste going up to a job to be turned away surely isn't much different to going up to the job just to put a feisty letter through.

Perhaps just soften the letter a bit?
They did let you know which is unusual, so maybe benefit of the doubt if this is the first time :)

i wouldnt do this , unless you have far too many customers !
you were already working in the road , so have lost no time !
' not this time ' now and then is fine / expected .
' not this time ' regularly , turn them into 2 monthly .
unfortunately window cleaning is not compulsory .

I understand that occasionally there are circumstances where we cannot clean your windows, i.e building works.

I might go with something like this.

with this and the terms and conditions letter you will be losing customers left right and centre, the way you write sounds as if you have the arse? if you come across this way your customers will disslike the way they feal they are being spoken to, i would rather drop a customer after the old three strike rule than put this letter through, you will lose work to other more approchable windys in the area
