 Best day of my life on Wednesday , just finished a job packed gear away , knocked door to get paid , elderly lady says to step in as she wants to keep the heat in , this i do , get paid , get in van and go to petrol station before the next job.
Get to next job , go to back of van , the door is open , think silly sod to myself and reach to the roof for my as new 30 foot hybrid xtel , it isnt there 

Jump in van to retrace footsteps before it gets driven over , nowhere in sight , where could it be ?

Petrol station of course , check in there , ask in there and the boss says what time is on your receipt cos i will look at the cctv for you , if the pole isnt there then you could have only lost it between your last job and here .......only a minute drive ......we look at the vid .....no pole .

No way that pole would have come off in that time without me knowing ......it then dawns on me , while i was in last custies house some scumbag has whipped it off the roof !

Not wanting to believe it i check the route again , i get stuck behind a lost 7.5 tonne lorry driver , he comes to a sudden stop at a side road , a spankin little Fiat Punto Evo comes up behind me , then the lorry starts to reverse , and just keeps commin  , i slam the van into reverse as hes only 2 foot off me now , i start to madly go back not knowing that the Fiat owner has decided to overtake us both and is approaching my rear end ..........SMASH.......

The lorry drives off , leaving me and Mr Fiat to it ......GREAT ..... Stolen pole and an RTA .....

We look at the motor , just a bit of deformation of bumper and slightly cracked paint , he says i saw what he did mate , thing is i just cancelled the insurance as my new car is being delivered in the morning when they pick this one up .......Winner ,  we both agree that a bit of tcut and parking the car facing the garage is the best course of action .

So only really lost the pole in the end not my no claims too !

Theiving scumbags , made me bring the Brodex out of the shed ........now that is a heavy pole

I'd go and check back from where they took it from. Once they realise it an Xtel they are sure to give it back.

Joking of course. Tough run of luck there.

I cant knock Xtel hybrids at all , there is a world of difference between hybrid and the GF version , they may not be in the same league as slx clx , but i have had that pole for well over 2.5 years and its still not even spinning yet , no new clamps or levers , my brother bought the same pole at the same time in the GF version , its gone , he  then got a gardiners that hes had for 18 months now , and that he reckons is wearing fast .

I was only joking anyway, but I admit I didn't see hybrid written in your post, and I have no experience with them.
