I had one (bought direct from China), the ignition unit inside melted after 8 months.. the fogwash is much better IMO.

You have to contact the US suppliers direct & get a replacement ignition unit.  :'(

I'm running two L5's. Both were running fine. I had too change my hose on one and ever since it keeps turning off and on. If put the old hose(which got sliced open by a dust cart and isnt long enough to use now) it works fine.

Any ideas on why and what i can do?

The new hose probably has less back pressure. Get a tap washer, make the hole in the middle slightly bigger (only slightly) with a drill bit & then use it as a washer in the hot water out connection on the unit. The increased back pressure caused by this should keep it running more reliably.

i had the same problem check that your   hose is  not tangled in the reel  as these heaters are very sensetive to  flow rate restriction.
