Tulsion MB 115 from Pure Freedom
« on: February 09, 2012, 03:59:41 pm »
So I changed my resin over end of December after ordering some Tulsion from PF in September.

I use an 11L DI vessel and have a TDS in of 019.

Right after changing the resin in Dec TDS was always at 001 and has now risen to 003 after making around 4000L max.

Any ideas what's wrong here? Could it be a bad batch of resin given that it was always at 001?

I can't see any obvious problems with the DI vessel itself.

Cheers, Mike

make sure you have emptied and cleaned out the vessell properly.

make sure after adding the resin you top it up a little with pure water, makes it easier to get the riser in the vessell 100% correct and that could be the reason why you have problems.

to be honest i was finding the resin from pf didnt last as long as the same resin from daqua, so i always use daqua now.

and what tds do you both change at? if one of u changes at 15 and the other is part of the  quick. it's. reached 001 tds brigade, could be a difference in usage levels.

S'cuse me askin' - but what's the tds going in to the resin at? Is it higher than it used to be?
It's a game of three halves!

Colley614 - yes TDS meter is fine.

WC Solutions - I will try that today.  A good clean out of the vessel with pure, add resin and top up with pure.

AS Window Cleaning - yes this is good stuff and I've always had plenty of life from this resin in the past.  I have always purchased from daqua though.

Gold - TDS in has always been around 020 in to resin.

I raised this point a few month back. Tulsion does not seem to last as long as it used to. No way to prove it tho!
