Just wondered if anyone here has built there own gutter vac?

I would be interested in buying one but they are expensive so looking down the d.i.y. route.

No mate I was looking around last year there's a lot about at different prices but not sure which is best for the money etc, I dont think that they can be that hard to build as its a wet n dry vacum and some pole and hoses. Someone on here has bprob had a go.

Im actually in the middle of pricing it all up to build it myself at the moment and its coming in at just short of £490 to build myself. How did you join them? Slightly bigger tube and clips?

How long does that take you set up blast away? The joints look like quite abit of ping about. I was going to get 2mm ali tubing and use a pipe expander to flare out the bottom just enough to slide the joints together but not 100% yet

Bought 50mm black drain tube, cut it to open up then in 8 inch length. Slot of 2 joining acrylic tubes giving 4 inch to each then jubilee clips.

You'll have a very small hole in the centre where they meet, just tape over.

That pole earned me £3,000 2 weeks after making it. Then bought some alloy one's for 3 storey blocks. Even at an equal length the alloy poles are similar weight.

there is this place where you can get poles, as blastaway has done though is good, you could make a hybrid, part poly pipe and then alley pipe,

you can use window cln pole using vac tube attached, not used my self tho

 It might be of interest to those of you within reach of Norwich that we are going to be launching our new rental division in a couple of weeks time from our new depot in Norwich. We are going to be offering both 1400 watt kits and 4200 watt kits ranging from 20ft aluminium pole kits up to 45ft aluminium/carbon fibre hybrid. We'll be offering 1 day hire, mid week hire (Mon pm to Fri am), weekend hire and 7 day hire (longer hire periods will be available). We'll also be offering at a small cost a delivery and collection service in and around Norwich and Norfolk.
