oh dear  :-\ just been out to check my van as had a four pin socket extension lead going to it with two green house heaters! as its -3 here (have a big van)

Open the door and smoke was ever where in side  :o

The extension lead was red hot  :o

Im not good with electrics! and really dont wont to burn my business to the ground! what have a done wrong  ???

was the extension lead the wind up type? if so and an wasnt fully unwound then the heaters becauase they draw probably 2kw each cause the extension lead to over heat as it is coiled up.

thats happened to me before..... never had the flex fully unwound on a reel  an it started smoking

You must unwind it fully if its gonna be on for while.

Unwind the lead fully! Buy a new one first now though.

I all most poop myself when I saw the smoke lol

this was the reel I used


Will get a new one tomorrow that is shorter and make sure its all unwound
