Looking to do domestic and have been looking at two part ladders. My mate who is a wc said pick up a cheap one from Wicks for forty quid!! The ones from the window cleaning centre are 160 quid though!! But can anyone recommend something decent between these two prices and where?

my favorite is my Wickes ladder, but i dont let employees use it as it has its dangers.

i also have a set of  LYTE trade ladders, sturdy but not light weight and  when i first bought them they had many sharp edges/corners that took me a while to file down. i dont recommend LYTE

ramsey's mine were plated in 1985 and 1982 still going strong, not sure on the pointer but probably about the same time, bit dearer but worth it

maybe i bought a "friday afternoon" set ,but i tell you the edges of All the alloy fittings were razor sharp.  i nearly cut myself a few times ,then i spent a couple of hours one Sunday with a needle file putting a gentle radius on all the edges

 i bought them online and i had spent a while online comparing the weight of the different makes , LYTE seemed to be a shade lighter than the others which was why i settled on them but once they arrived they were heavier than stated .

 However ,they are strong and will last donkeys years im sure
