You could do better for your money. In my opinion you would be dissatisfied in 6 months

This one sounds good on paper. The spec looks good and it claims to be fully refurbished - and a 3-month guarantee. It would look good being taken into a customer's house. It's a decent price as well.:

Well, if it's from China, I'd not touch it with an extremely long chop stick. The quality of Chinese stuff is still appalling.

(And they want to keep it that way. They've bought Rover at Longbridge, haven't they?)

you have to be carefull buying 2 nd hand equipment it you do not know what your looking for that machine is well overpriced and you would be better buying a new machine and getting a 12 month warantee. Many manufacturers also give some free training as well. All in all that machine is expensive, as somebody else said looks is very important as well from the customers veiwpoint so that is worth paying a bit for.

Good post Peter. Done a lot of Ebay deals and paid too much a few times. I try to buy of guys on here, not that that's a guarantee. Just bought a back up this week got a bit scary but the seller came through. Patience is a virtue.
Cheers

Ha ! The Chinese have landed !

i was checking those out on Alibaba only this week ....
now some may not touch Chinese gear ...  and i haven't seen it up close ...
but for the price ,that looks like a sweet little backup machine and i would buy it ..

Some thought has gone into the design ... the way the filtered stack rises in the lid ...
the vac manifold is direct coupled to the tank and il bet the vacs are vented to the bottom ... 30 , 35 liter capacity is perfect while being light to haul around ...

Even if you didn't trust the longevity  of the vacs/pump all 3 could be replaced for 200 whenever they go ...

However .. for the  OP   , as a main machine you might be better getting one with heat ... like the alltec mentioned ... although you could get an inline heater for 400 or so , or get some one to fit an immersion heater in the tank .

If you go for the alltec .. the express is a smaller version of the elite ... unless u really need a very small machine i would go for the elite ... and get twin vacs
that is 1450+vat  but a very good machine for the money .
