I will have to bite the bullet and do it this year, I bought some work about 7 years ago and prices are still the same, will wait until March and give it a go. :)

WTF, how do you make it pay, 7 YEARS????????

I increase my prices every two years, my customers expect it and understand that I also have bills to pay. Some go up by 50p others by £1 but they all go up.

Yes I do lose the odd one but if they don't like it, tough.

Beginning of last year diesel cost me £1.18ltr now it's £1.41ltr, Van insurance has gone up, liability has gone up, food, gas and all that has gone up  and you can't be expected to stand those increases year on year.

If you do not increase prices fairly regularly then customers will moan and drop you when you get round to it. At the end of the day you are running a business not a charity.

The cheek of these jumped up newbies, if i knocked 50p off every year i'd still be getting more than you in 10 years time, I haven't seen any of your work but from what I'm told you won't have any left soon , they should call you streaky Pete!!. Thats it i'm off.

All up a pound for every £5.00 once a year.
If they leave they leave, to be honest we really don't give a hoot

Business is easy, it amazes me how many people don't understand the price increase

Using your system since the turn of the century on a customer who was paying £7.

2000 - £7
2001 - £8
2002 - £9
2003 - £10
2004 - £12
2005 - £14
2006 - £16
2007 - £19
2008 - £22
2009 - £26
2010 - £31
2011 - £37
2012 - £44

Sounds a bit unlikely to me. £52 next year and £62 the year after...

Business is easy, it amazes me how many people don't understand the price increase

I understand it but I really would be surprised if you had any long-term customers left after those increases.

Price rises are essential,
Its one things do every year, revue em all, then increase where necessary, nobody ever goes more than 2years without increase

Guy local to me, custy I know says she and neighbour paying same for over 8 years, £8 for 4 bed det Hse..........
This is crazy, even custy says he must be living in cuckoo land..

Mr B
If in doubt.....Leave it out !!
