just read in my local paper water metres on the way for the whole town this spring, am currently using around 1000ltrs a week pure but hoping to get more work in, question is what is the most efficient ro system, am currently using hydrotec 100 gallons a day with booster pump but dont think this is very efficient system also what are your water bills like for those of you on water metres cheers for replies.

1000 litres will cost about £3, its cheap, no shop rent, rates, or elec bills, so dont worry

Docwindows , they will laugh at you mate , the meter goes in just before your property boundry , that little tap you tweek off when you go on your hols !
Mate they got us all , the only people who will possibly get away with it are maisonette owners of ex council properties , well thats the score in Plymouth anyway , the council or waterboard decided one feed in was enough , so they cant tell which of the flats is using the water !

just a thought . but would it pay to tell the water board that you use the water for wc because you possibly might get a discount because you aren't using the drain to dispose of the water as a normal customer which accounts for part of the bill . something i thought of but keep forgetting to find out . perhaps one of you guys know . chances are they would put it up because its used for business purposes.

You can fit an outside tap with a seperate meter on it and you will only be charged for the water used from that tap and not sewage and drainage which if you look at your water bill is usually dearer than the water. If you phone your water board and tell them what you use the water for they will tell you all about it and send you the forms to fill in etc.

Get a aqua dapter to save you guys water... Works a treat I got them on all my poles and save plenty of water

there is a scheme were you can get a discount depending on the number of people in the house it can be as  much as 50%,i should know
