I usually leaflet the first day and my gimp follows where I've been knocking the following day seems to work ok

knock and show them the leaflet then give them your pitch.if not in push leaflet through and  go back tomorrow or in a few days and show them your leaflet and give them your pitch.

you will have far better results than just posting a leaflet through.

i employ a leafletter 2 days a week now. if he can hack it for about 6 months he will go onto the squeegee

The best way mate is to put the price on there with a section that says please add x amount for a cony. i used to leaflet without a price on them. no good! quote sheets are the way forward im picking up jobs every day now. and i canvass 2 hours saturday and 2 hours sunday.

i will second that,i have had my leaflets with a quote sheet on the back and it works great!I also use facebook to get me a lot of business and also door knock!

done about 400 leaflets and stuck 20 postcards in shop windows between 2 of us big houses long drives
 start knocking tmr
had a good response already its quite a affluent village picked up 2 jobs quoted there and then to a custie who opened the door to me and another who drove round looking for us
apparently the window cleaner who did the area hasnt been seen sinse september

see what happens rest of the week but getting a good vibe in this area already

these leaflet distributors who do a thousand or so for a score it must be hard making a living

it varies but theres Always something good comes of leafletting  . i never door knock as it would take weeks to do it ,maybe months even

:)ah yes, i remember that day. i really wanted to scoff that "quality" roll myself, it looked so tasty.hot food .  but i held back and my worker really enjoyed his surprise treat

Ive got a guy leafleting for me as we speak. So far I've got £80 of new business from approx 1,500 leaflets. Not bad me thinks!!
I pay him £20 a 1,000!!

as a fairly new window cleaner myself i decided to do a big leaflet drop in a paticuler area (as i didnt have the confidence to door knock at first) and granted i picked up a couple of jobs from custys calling then the odd one or two whilst i was in the area....

then i read some of the advice from the guys on here and went door knocking the same area a couple of months after and got myself 2 full days work


would deffo recommend knocking on doors personaly if you have the time as it gives the potential custy chance to see you face to face and give you a yes or no answer without wasting a leaflet... the guys certainly know what there talking about on here
