As per the Windex thread, they are not on the list of attendees, have they ever had a stand?

I know it's a long way to go, but i would imagine most of their business comes out with Cornwall.

Alex, if you read, please get a stand! Would love to see some more of your gear without just hearing about it on here, or seeing it on your site.

Maybe he just is embarrassed cos of all the man love he might receive?

I think that Alex does not eed to attend any trade shows, his products are 1st class, his prices are ok, customer and after care is brilliant and he has a full order book.

Why mess it up with going to these shows.

Mind you he could do a roadshow, where cleaners around the UK can see and feel his products before they buy though.

I like his products, don't like ionics poles after using yours, don't like Brodex stuff, and there is nothing out there comparable, in my opinion.

Gardiners order books are bursting yes, however, as a PR exercise for the majority of his ustomers who don't live in Cornwall, it would be nice to try out a few of his goodies, and hear what's coming soon, or whatever.

I agree his poles are by far the best and that glyder pole is awful but came with that business so can't complain. Brodex poles are crap also with crap after sales.

Think im affraid to , i know what would happen , i would go home that evening and get beaten to a pulp by her indoors for emptying the bank account

thats a great idea - if your watching alex - i'm in the lake district & theres a lot of windies up here & nowhere near to see any gear first hand

In all honesty , why would he go to that expense , it has become blatently obvious that his products more than satisfy pretty much every W/C out there , i have seen the odd grumble , clamps and people to answer the phone or whatever , but that i believe has been sorted.

If anything i reckon you got more chance of seeing him at Windex , hey and if he dont do that and you have taken the risk of buying a pole lets say , and you get it and dont for some reason like it , bang it on Ebay with an honest description of its condition , you would have no end of people biting your arm off to have it , even at retail price , especially if there is a wait on that model .
How long do you think it would be listed on CIU buy and sell ?
It would be gone before you had a chance to hit the refresh button

Alex knows this , so why waste his profit , that is without a doubt being spent on testing whatever he has coming out next !

I think a long long time ago Alex answered this, I think the costs far outweighed the benefit.
Personally I think those thousands of pounds could be better spent into their R&D (not insinuating that their products are lacking anything mind!). But that's just me thinking out loud.

Whilst these shows are free to you and I just have a touchy feely go with some of the kit, for the sellers it's a very expensive couple of days out of the office.

Very true. We all know that they are top notch products but having a stand at these trade shows is all about brand awareness. Full order book or not, any business would benefit from more exposure.

This is an issue we have thought about and discussed many times over the past few years. To start with we didn't attend as we couldn't afford it - plain and simple! Then we didn't attend because we were too busy with limited man-power. Last year we decided, having looked into the costing in detail, that it would be better to invest in new staff (to answer phones!) than to spend money on a show. This year I have been busy spending money on R&D and various projects that I feel will benefit our client base more than attending a show - I do realise that this does disappoint some of our clients and do bear this in mind when making these decisions. As it happens our poles where at the show last year on another exhibitor's stand.

Also we have recently had to cover the exorbitant fees for Harry and Amber and their video appearances for our firm on YouTube - this is a substantial investment that we feel will take some time to claw back

Was my brothers pole , i did the same job previously with a facelift 45 , by jiggery did i notice the difference that night , i was able to eat my pizza myself , not be fed it by the missus

Tell you what , chuck in a couple of your stickers that would best match a pink van and i will do all i can to swing the plymouth W/C's in your direction , bearing in mind they are a tight bunch , if you want to conquer Plymouth you need to be at Macdonalds by the mall at 7.45 with your wares !

Who's Harry an Amber?

I live in Brighton and they sound like a trannie and 'boyfriend' to me? I've seem more than a few of them down and around the town tonight.

 

I'm up late as I've just got in from doing an office w/c'ing job. I've not been down the pub but I'm enjoying a shot of Glen Livet hence the 2.15am posting.
