gaffer tape glue

somehow i had a lump of gaffer tape stuck to back bum of my trousers and having sat down the glue has heated up and left a bad grey sticky mark on my cloth sofa. any ideas lads what might get it off ? before the missus discovers it

Come on Andy, Bobby is in a STICKY situation here. Just because he has made a huge GAFF he doesnt need to be the BUTT of your jokes.

 ;D youre a real help lads . im going to sleep on it (not literally) and maybe tomoro stuff the sofa cover in the top of the fridge to freeze the glue. then scrape it off with a butter knife

b & q get some "sticky stuff" remover thats what its called. impregnate lint free cloth do a test patch on back or underneath sofa to make sure it doesnt discolour then if all is cool set to work on your sticky shame...however this may or may not work. sorry Bobby its the best ive got. did you post in the carpet  cleaning section? those boys would definately know.

do you have kids? blame them ;) if not, a dog, cat, if not just say shyte happens sometimes, take the grief and move on ;D
