increasing motivation during cold spells
« on: January 17, 2012, 09:16:19 am »
just thought id give you my take on it.

when its freezing and frosty like today i start around 10am and finish at 3-330pm.i dont earn as much but i tick over at a steady pace!still eating into my workload.

2 flasks.one with hot tea and one with hot water(in case jets freeze).gloves with disposable liners.goretex boots, jacket and fleece.

i find by not putting too much pressure on myself to get through my work im actually more productive!avoiding burnout and generally very little stress.

leaving an oil filled radiator in back of van so its nice and toasty in the morning also helps!

is that the time?better get off to work!!

any other tips from you other guys? ;D ;D

best wishes to you all

regards

to keep my hands toastie

alas my ipod is busted, music helps for me

think it is frosty so it is not raining, most likely

enjoy the winter scene, the great sunset as i drive home to a cosy fire

Dazmond, I have a question for you. I have put an oil filled rad in my van over night.

How long will I get once left the house before water starts to freeze in pump etc?

Thanks daz

Great advice Dazmond!
Just keep nibbling away at the workload during winter months and its spring before you know it and time for a push on new customers
And all the time the weather is holding up ok,its just good to be out in the sunshine.Cant think of anything I would rather be doing

not too sure what the problem with the weather was today?  south manchester it didnt get below -1/-2.  worked 7 till 4 and no problems with freezing either trad or wfp.
i just keep telling myself it was about 10 degrees colder last year and i managed that so just carry on
