If your applicator has a scourer on the end of it don't use the scourer part with too much pressure,the end of the T bar can pierce the sleeve and come into contact with the glass.

man, what's the point of having the scourer on there if not to scrub! I hadn't realised that either, explains a mark or 2 I've noticed! whoops!
The scourer itself used properly won't scratch the glass,the problem is if there is a stubborn mark and you rub like mad it will scratch the window, whether it be the scourer or the end of the t bar pressing too hard on the sleeve.
