I have been cleaning windows for a couple of years and have finally decided to get involved in the WFP method.

My first question is "If you have a van mounted system, how do you clean the back of terriced properties that have no means of access apart from the front door?"

Drag the hose through the house. Has to be easier than taking a ladder through surely? Tbh though, once I am full, i will ditch those with access issues as they are a pain.

A backpack for WFP would be ideal in that situation.

I use a backpack for these awkward jobs,

easier to backpack until you replace with easier access work as you will resent doing them in time when your round is full

I must admit that a backpack would be better but there aren't enough awkward ones like that to justify the £150.

What about end of terriced and semis that have a garage on side of house.

Do you climb over the garage and drag the hose with you, or go through the house, either with the hose or a backpack?

The reason I ask is that WFP method is supposed to rid you of having to use ladders, so having to climb garages sort of defeats the aim a bit, or is it just something you have to account for?

We've had HP hoses running through terraced houses to clean the back yards. Putting sheets down for hoses to lay on. Extra working, extra charge.

How do you do it now, through the house with your ladders or through the garage.

Also you may still need a set of ladders to clean landing windows from the garage roof.
Not many wfp dont carry a ladder but they may only be used a couple of times a week.

How much hose have you on the reel?  You should park
at the top of the alleyway and work down, then again from the other side, Climb over the back wall using a ladder.

think you will be lucky if you never have to use a ladder wfp,iv got quite a few houses with garages attached to the house that i have to climb over to do them trad,but when i convert to wfp il just have to work out the best way to do these it will either be dragging hose over roof or backpack,think the backpack is best option only problem is i sometimes climb next door at the same time so backpack may not have enough water to do 2 rear houses

You pick your houses. WFP will give you at least as many extra houses with conservatories that you couldn't do trad. You have to accept that some are going to have to be dumped. Or continue tradding the back for the time being. But you will soon get fed up whan you see how much quicker it is with WFP

backpack is the best way to do these types of houses, also buy some disposable slip on shoe covers, many a time in the past i have been asked to use plastic carrier bags lol

I suppose in an ideal world, the solution is to have various tools and equipment, ready for any eventuality.

Alternatively, to build a big enough round to pick and choose the most convenient houses.

I am a bit wiser now.

When I first went wfp I got a backpack. I would need about 25ltrs to clean a house. Used my backpack the other week for the first time in ages as I now have a van and I cleaned a full house with enough left to do the front of another (3 bed semi). Reason for this was I now have triggers on my poles. Simple. No wastage
