A first for me
« on: January 09, 2012, 07:42:35 pm »
Has a custy cancel today, done hers for about 8 month.

Last month I noticed she had a new lurcher pup, obviously the poor mite needed a lot more food and attention

I returned to hers today and there was no change, so decided to have a word, in the intrest of animal welfare.

She would have none of it, bear in mind I have had and have worked lurchers for 8years, met plenty other folk, and see. Dozens of others dogs working. And I know lurchers have a rep of being skinny, but a well kept lurcher will not be skinny.

Anyway she cancelled and took a huff with me. I wont lose any sleep over the fiver a month, but will worry about the little dog.

Good for you mate, I'd call your local RSPCA and ask them to visit and check the dog for you  :)

i agree you have to phone the RSPCA, i wouldnt be able to sleep knowing the dog may be neglected, if you dont want to do it yourself email me all of the details and i'll phone them.
Im not scared of heights, just falling from them.

I regard myself as an animal lover too.  That's why I don't have them as pets or eat them  :) .
As far as the lurcher goes, maybe it would have been better to do the informing without saying anything to her.  Isn't hindsight easy?

so not true, i had a dog it use to the cuboard open the door and help himself to a few doggy biscuits ,it only took 6  thinking id not notice but i did,so i put them in cuboard a bit higher,i came home and quitely opened the door and the little skinny rascal was only on the step ladder trying to get a few biscuits,it catches spiders ,ants flys, bees, and wasps in summer,a few weeks ago the butcher sent me a bill for a sirlion joint,it only sneaked in butchers shop and took the joint of meat.
