Shurflo pump Amps?
« on: January 07, 2012, 01:04:41 pm »
Sorry guys, cant seem to find this info out it doesn't seem to be printed on either of my pumps, its 100psi version.

I'm trying to work out how many amp hours i'm using on a daily basis, as i need to get a new battery...  :)

But this is DRASTICALLY reduced by a pump controller, I think mine was only drawing 1.7 amps or so when it was tested..

The ampage draw or current will vary unless you are running the pump at 100% all the time it will never draw the full 8amp maximum.
With a controller the current used is significantly reduced perhaps a maximum of 4amps you will also see some loss of current dependant on the length of cable and connections.

The only accurate way I could suggest is with an amp meter, Worst case scenario would be to work on the maximum amp rating.
