Can anyone recommend some effective & professional looking waterproofs - jacket and trousers - which are breathable and could be worn for other outdoor activities?

I'm using a non-breathable waterproof coat at present and while it keeps the rain out it still gets wet inside from condensation.

Snickers if you have the money, Regata if not.

we use snickers trousers - not entirely waterproof but more water repellant.  Quality is top notch though, they are comfortable and hardwearing.

jackets - we use Sprayway goretex, does exactly what it says on the tin.

we wear teflon combat style trouses so much better then an over trouses water just runs off them, they cost £35 a pair.
and a dickies water proof coat for £25

Where do you get the trousers from? Are they hi-viz?
Had a look at the Dickie jackets but they don't seem breathable

just been looking at teflon pants on ebay some are only £10  surely these cant really be waterproof ??

I got Tog Goretex trousers and jacket a few years ago. Fantastic! Got them about half price from Bicester village designer outlet. Will only go goretex from now on. Make sure you get a jacket with detachable fleece so its cooler in the winter.
I also got Goretex british army boots from Ebay about 3 or 4 years ago and they are still going strong. Still warm and waterproof. only paid £35 delivered for them as well. Alot cheaper than the so called waterproof boots you can buy from the high street/camping shops for £90!

window washers - yes I have my son plus two other members of staff.  Everyone wearing the same - I/company pays for them.  They last for years.

Glen - don't know what the snickers trousers are called but they are black and grey with a teflon type finish to them.

i get them from a local company in leighton buzzard can give you there number no black not high viz i think you can get them.

and dickie do loads of jackets and breathable

I use Dickies feild tex waterproof jacket and trousers.
breathable cool and VERY waterproof!
and cheap as chips Jacket £27, trousers £17.#
Highly recommend both!
