Normal water then Pure?
« on: December 30, 2011, 04:21:23 pm »
Does anyone clean this way?  I was thinking that if your supply was to run low then you could use normal water to clean and pure to rinse.....  A proper pain in the butt but it might help, I've heard of people doing conservatories this way, I was just thinking about really munting first cleans etc.

Your thoughts chaps

you would waste all the water sitting in your hose every time you switched over. unless you ran 2 hoses.

also not everyone would be happy with you using there outside tap to clean their windows

Fair point, I'd probably have a spare barrel and fill it on the sly lol  Two systems would be handy as you say, I'm thinking mainly about emergencies as I only have 5 barrels at the moment  :)

vsp,nip down to the nearest polish/asian car wash and ask if they have any spare empty barrells-they'll  have a fair few,and should give em away-plus you'll have a future supply of them if you go back now and again ;D.just keep rinsing out with tap water and away you go

i keep some spare microbore in the van with connectors for hoselock on one end and rectus 21 female end on the other to fit on my pole hose.i just hook up to outside taps for conny roofs and fascia cleans then finish off with pure if the roof is glass.if its polycarbon then just tap water.

i have a 350L tank which does me fine most days.i also have a couple of barrels i could fill to give me 400L but to be honest ive never needed them on maintenance cleans.

the option to hook up to outside taps is great for fitting in the extra conny roof/fascias cleans during spring and summer after a day of maintenance window cleaning and your waters running low!! ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D

I believe Tucker used to make a two hose system years ago.
