I have the van so i have to work with them. I pick them up, drop them off and i collect. I might do a little more then some do but i like it that way
They call us the ladder brigade but we are more like the ladder regiment
arrr I see now ... thought you was WFP :
Im thinking of getting a WFP set up in 2012 for commercials that i have on the go. Its an option but ive just made an arrangement with an old friend so that he can do the wfp work on my commercials indefinately while we will do what can be tradded.
One great example i can use is a friend of mine from stoke. I dont think he is on here but he has about 4 vans doing domestics and commercials and has a turnover in excess of £250k. He has to deal with VAT and the hassle of employing with one thing or another going wrong every week. Hes also limited so he sets himself a set wage. He paid himself £37k last year so he didnt go over the 40% tax threshold. He has all the hassle of running 4 vans and employing upwards of 6 lads and he pays himself £37k for the trouble.
I have a turnover of £50k+ per year and have two employees, one part time. My earnings for this financial year are over £30k and likely to be closer to £33k. I will be increasing my earnings with my eye on the Vat threshold and 40% tax threshold next year. I will be earning nearly as much as my friend but from a smaller turnover and with much less hassle
