doc says 6 weeks off managed to do some after 4 weeks but took a while to build the strenth back ,dont think a pole would help put a lot of strain on your shoulder ,but when better i would go wfp good luck

dislocated mine few years back i wasnt self employed at the time but mine took nearly a year to recover fully, just dont rush take your time as long as your earning enough pay the bills, wfp would be a nightmare with an injury like that

Have you been told to do the towel thing Kik? Towel in one arm and them pulling the other arm up round the back of your shoulders - By memory I dont think I was able to do any of the exercises until around after 3 months.

I did when I fell off a motor bike a few years ago, the guy who knocked me of the bike popped it back in for me, I never went to the doctors. so never got any advice so I started using my shoulder as soon as it felt ok, it was agony for a few days, but I was using it fully within weeks but it was tender for months

my daughter has done an elbow twice when younger and the hospital popped it back, and never advised us to rest it, just painkillers for a couple of days,

carry the ladder on your other shoulder ;)

When youve recovered, remember to keep it warm - winter months can have twinges.

nasty. ligament damage takes a long long time to heal. sorry about injury, don't push too hard could make it worse. keep moving but listen to your body. all the best mate
