A leisure battery isn't designed to take the current draw a starter motor requires. You will probably wreck it. So that will mean to batteries you will have to replace rather than just the one.

I have done this off my 85ah battery to Boxer van battery ... no problems

I've jumped mine a couple of times. no problem for me, I have 110 amp leisure, jumping a 1.9 tdi engine. wouldn't like to do regular as leisure not designed for that kind of draw as mentioned. but once a blue moon should b fine I would have thought.

in the end thou spruces words of worry made sence, it turned out i needed a new battery no point risking my Lesuire to get about, got it all sorted in the end , almost new 400a bat in my combo now £20 bargin!, back in business for 2012 at least it didnt happen in a working week!

I once did it from a 35 amp trolley battery.  It was just the once though with no ill effect.  I left the lights on while parked and it was flattened.

maybe peak surge power for cranking. my car is 65amp, but also has 330. guess that's what it is.

careful with second hand batteries, cells might b gone, keep an eye, see if holds charge.
