Fill it from the top. It'll soon end up at the bottom.Vin
Flow rate isn't great, so will top fill but use bottom taps to self level. How efficient will 1/2" hose be for self levelling? Only want to use 1 pump for both tanks.Cheers pal.

But if you are thinking of dropping a submersible in the tank then it probably wouldn't keep up to allow the water back into the one with the pump. How much do you carry on the van? Assuming you don't use more than 1000 at a time you could put a transfer hose between the top level of the tanks. This way no.1 tank would fill to the top then start to fill the 2nd tank. You could put a tap in the bottom transfer hose to allow water back in to balance if necessary. That way you can move your ro hose into whichever tank you want and the other becomes your reserve. your pump would be dropped into whichever is fullest but the ability to produce 2000 litres without risk of overflow is maintained. Hope that all makes sense.
Not a lot by the sounds of it. Talk about over complicate things
