Today my 6mm microbore hose got a pin head sized hole in it...

Whats the best way of repairing it?

But would that withstand being reeled in and out all day?

go to b & Q and get some hose repair tape, if you use a metal/plastci hose repair, wait till you reel it in, it kills your hands trust me

it lasts ok, just make sure it is dry and you wrap tight and clean, use either razor blade or sharpe scissors to make clean cut

Cut the hose in two and re join with a straight joiner, think all suppliers sale them

I guess you have never used one, these kill your hands in the winter when you wind the hose in, and it always happens at the wrong time

I can see what you mean...

Although its on my handheld plastic reel that I don't need to guide in with my other hand so it might work... Just can't see how they are flexible enough to wind round the reel?

i have one on my hose for 6 months, never had a problem with it, i have taped it round with insulation tape,, nothing wrong with it

Do you have to use jubilee clips to, or does it not leak?

they wind round as they are small mate, about 2 inches , they also give a little when they are wound round the reel so thats not a problem

I guess trippys idea makes sence but it is the same as mine just I did it without the tape with connector first it hurt like hell, then on another rell I used tape. till it annoyed me another to just buy more hose reel.

I dont bother with jubliee clips, i use 6mm clips, i have never had a leak,and i batter mine,its been run over by cars and lorrys,but still has no leaks

Andy, a pin hole only needs tape dude, before you cut it in half to add a bit of plastic

Clean  with iso glue with uni bond extreme glue and tape after its dry.

Ok, ok - I'll try some tape first and then use the repairer if I need to, lol
