« on: December 17, 2011, 07:29:26 pm »
just got hold of a 45ft ergolite but the clamps have about had it - they do tighten but with the lever in the wrong place so its easy to knock it open.   ive tried changin the bolts but just the same, now someone has told me to take the whole clamp off & just use a jubilee wingspade clip  has any one else done this & how do you get the clamps of anyway
????????????

New bolts and new nuts, and put a small washer behind the nut works a treat. Basically the pole is coming to the end of its life, if your using it a lot you might get six months if your lucky. If its for the odd job who knows. good luck.

Take a look at extent to wash he sells new clamps for another pole but it has the diameter of the poles. They might just fit. Look at the bottom of this page.
