snow and cold water!

Had oil filled radiator on highest setting all night.van toasty.reels and pump etc inside flat.

I've got a commercial job due to clean today at 830am.its just started snowing!do you think if I reel hose out quickly and get the water flowing ill be able to clean it without freezing the hose?

yes,just keep the water running and you be all ok,dont leave pole stood up against walls and in the cold wind etc.

try and keep hose off ground as much as possible,i keep
some of that push fit insulation wrap handy works a treat

Do the best you can to keep the water flowing-

Pull the hosereel out of the van, plug your pole in as soon as you can to get the water flowing.

Dont put the pole up against the building or on the floor for any length of time without water flowing- put it back in the van.

Where you can, leave the van running with the heater on.

These measures are for conditions of 0 degrees or less but for -5 and below forget it......

agree, -4/-5 then it becomes a problem, worked everyday last year bar 1

It's not cold enough yet Daz. It also hasn't been cold enough in Manc to have the heater in the van yet. Lowest temp has been 1.4

Flowing water .... WILL NOT FREEZE... so if you have to stop poling for a few minute, leave ur pole upright against a wall, and adjust ur tap to just a mere trickle of water, it will not freeze mate

managed to get 2 commercial jobs done and a few domestics this morning.the rain/sleet/snow and icy wind was pretty bad.home now.just got a few hours collecting to do tonight then chilling out until 10am tomorrow morning.£130 better off so not too bad for a half day.

 ;D ;D ;D

gonna put radiator in van again tonight and two 300w aquarium heaters and a duvet over top of tank.forecast -3 tonight here! ;D ;D ;D

poled everything today.very fast and efficient!! ;) ;D ;D

Daz - put an immersion in your tank - it's easy peasy and costs less than £20 for the element, another tenner for a timer and another tenner each for a spanner and hole cutter. All from screwfix or tool station.

Supple hoses are luvly!

flowing water was freezing on me last winter so your wrong there, dazmond why are you still faffing around with cold water?

Only a bit if snow here about half 9 in the morning for all of about 10mins!!
I was trying to make the point that  I didn't think it was cold enough to freeze??
I only struggled last year when it dropped to about minus 3/4  :) :)

been in liverpool today that cold scousers were walking round with hands
