gardiners yellow pole hose
« on: December 13, 2011, 04:07:08 pm »
i have a new clx pole with the yellow pole hose, and the pole hose snapped today, never had that before, is it because its a more plasticy type of hose? more brittle? thanks

Used to keep getting tiny pin holes and splits in mine, ditched it now and found some old clear stuff i ordered off gardiners years ago, much better imo.

had a game with it today had to get the wife standing on the end while i stretched it to it full length. might tape it up with insulation tape to strenghten it a bit.

I've got the same stuff on my slx pole. I've noticed that the colder it is the more stiffer the hose gets, bit of a pain really!!!

Have they changed the pole hose recently? I got a clx a month ago (not used it yet) and the pole hose is a deeper shade of yellow than on my older clx.

seems alot of this pole hose that everyone is selling is really not cut out for wfp.

Would love a supplier to look into this and sort out an anti kink pole hose.
B&Q's clear hose is just as good as any of the coloured hose suppliers are selling right now and cheaper.

streamline clear hose from purefreedom seemed less hassle than the coloured stuff

I've been using the Gardiner hard pole hose for a year now on my SLX 25 and although it twists up a little more in the cold weather it certainly shouldn't snap   :o. I'd get in touch with Gardiners if I were you, I'm sure they'll sort you out add they take a pride in their products and customer service   ;D

i;ve had the same problem with all my yellow gardiner hoses.  seems pretty rubbish stuff to be honest.  i replace it before i use a new pole of theirs now.  i do however love my CLX.  brilliant and well priced pole

i know a lot had probs with it as it was very soft,  and a lot loved it becasue it was soft, i think alex gives a choice now on which one to have,  once again he has listen to the people who actually use the stuff, instead of telling us what we should think

Some of the new pole hose is lethal when doing shop work, all pole hose should lie flat like it used to.
