Are you running windows 7 ?

And is it 64 bit?

The problem you have is palm don't do a 64 bit usb driver.  The way you have to hot sync is by Blue tooth or wireless or infer red.

And if your palm does not support any of these then new palm, and download from palm the latest drivers for these.

Hi Kevin

If your computer does not have infer-red you can buy one of these.

http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?q=infrared+usb&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=5724598720010433039&sa=X&ei=CBDnTuQBwc2EB5-pjcgK&ved=0CGQQ8wIwAQ

Then if you download the latest driver pack from the palm site, once install it gives you the option bluetooth and infer-red.
