Hi Richard,
The top section of your site looks great, (your van also looks the part) but then you spoil it by using stock photos that mean nothing to anyone. Why not use your own pictures (or video) so that as well as telling people what you do, show them too.
Publishing prices isn't a good idea in my view, as it removes the need for people to call you to find how much you charge. Answer that question for them on your site and they have no need to call you and that reduces your opportunity to win them over.

you are selling your self as a husband and wife team, i would have a photo showing you both, the site only has 2 pages...... you mention dry cleaning, stain removal and stain protector  I would have a page for each of them at least.

I think your prices are very affordable, I think once people see them they will top searching and call you, its a matter of personal opinion but I would keep the prices page

Thanks Mike...Hope you had a good day.....Thats the problem prices on or prices off....Regarding picture of me & the wife thats a good idea ,but the wife was not keen on it last year but we see more & more websites with pictures of hus/wife on there....The website i have at the moment is only a 3 page site so thats why i was thinking of going with the Blackberry site because its got 10 pages at a great price and it looks like a lot of people on here have got these websites & if their any good ?. Reason i have a carpet cleaner near me that has 10 websites in all areas & they are very strong on Google and he offers discount carpet cleaning... I spoke to him last week & he was booked up to the 28th Dec, Thats why we was getting a bigger site to explain our work etc.

Why don't you just add some more pages to your site?

Not for me to comment on the layout of your site as I don't have one for carpet cleaning. I'm sure that Mike and Simon's advice is sound.
The only comment I would make, is for you to look at the text on your 'Home' page.
Couple of repeats, capitals where there shouldn't be, Prochem with a small 'p', stray brackets etc.

Ah, I've just looked at your designer's site. Naughty.

Do not pay for the extra pages. You will not be getting anything like value for money.

Is that right? Basic SEO is a £ 600 extra "Pro" package?

As someone said the site looks good but
the text wants doing properly.
Think the prices page isn't really a prices
page when all the prices are "from" or "POA"

The site needs more pages too and nick a stain
protector video from you tube and put it on.

The issue with publishing prices is that, yes, you can avoid the price shoppers and just get the people willing to pay your price, but you lose the opportunity to convert those that think it is all about price and all carpet cleaners are the same, except the price charged. A phone call is an opportunity to convert / educate these people and is lost by answering the price question without ever speaking to them, which is utter folly, in my view.

Wouldn't want to be paying those website prices for a firm
that can't even get the text and grammar right.
Get a Vista Print one and you can do it all yourself and it's
easy........it must be I did mine.

Simon,

I'm not having a dig here.

Do you get many people go away after you have spoken to them for say, ten minutes or do most book?

Hi Simon   Yes prices on or off websites is a nightmare i left it off my old site and all the people said "how much is a lounge" we said we will do a house visit to price up,they say why its a carpet..We then tell them we need to see what type of carpet you have etc..Then they say "i call someone else". You just can`t  win ever way.
