Wood Floor seal - staining
« on: December 09, 2011, 05:42:36 pm »
Sealed a hard wood beech engineered kitchen floor with Clover ultra diamond. no probs at all - all ph checked - put on 3 coats -let each coat fully dry etc -  looked a dream. Three days later customer calls to say its got water stains on it. Went back and sure enough by the sink was water splash staining(the "wrong " tap had been fitted by the plumber!!)So wiped this area over with more Diamond - and it disappeared - customer happy - me happy. week later same thing again - any ideas? customer has become very threatening!
told custy to wipe up water/stains - but she is not happy with this idea!!

The floor has been down about 7 years - and was badly worn - but previously sealed.

Think the custy is going to try to sue me now for a new floor :'(

cheers

Maybe you should have a word with this guy.

Was the floor lacquered/sealed prior to you working on it?

Hi there, the floor is not damaged, you can do two things, one is to strip the polish using speed strip and then seal with Johnsons wood seal, or sand the floor down to bare wood and seal with any good floor seal, junkers, bona, morrels

We use Junkers Commercial

Any problems please do not hesitate calling us 07816106386, we are floor sanders and carpet cleaners
