Having the next few days off
« on: December 07, 2011, 01:47:49 pm »
Hi chaps, I live in Liverpool right next to the sea
(Crosby/Waterloo) and the wind down here is a propa joke
I went out Monday and had 4 jobs cancel on me due to the weather
And these are big houses and good money on them
so decided to pack it in at dinner, I don't blame people for saying it's not worth it in this weather (in this area alone I might add), sand blowing in of the sea straight on to the glass whilst you cleaning it
Is a waste of time! Tbh
Some big waves rolling in on the shore, and not much fun wrestling with me pole
So wrap some presents, fix all the little jobs I've been putting off
And it's me birthday tomorrow so 2 days on the ale!
Start work again on Saturday
If I try and work in this I'll only end up fed up and that not what it's all about for me  ;)

Kind regards colin

you have to feel sorry for the northern lads really its always them that gets the bad weather first. being in the midlands dont feel you get the bad weather much. seems to whistle past us down to the southern areas.

It.s been quite breezy in the southeast too but no problem with working ordinary houses.  I wouldn't have fancied high work though.

Last time I cleaned windows in high winds like this the results were ten times worse than before. I know the windows will look shocking afterwards so what's the point? OK, you may get paid but you will get complaints and lose the goodwill factor. {imho}. Off today, probably off tomorrow too.
