Nearly everyone I've seen on the road who has pure water system on van still has ladders on roof, is this just incase ya wfp system breaks down then you have the choice to finish a job traditional way? What other benifits are their of having a roof rack and ladders. Cheers.

Ladders are used to gain access not just to work off  ::)

See what ya mean, I can see the logic in that I've been lucky so far and not needed to have access with ladders. I reason I bring this up is I am thinking of getting a roof rack for my van so I'm just trying to justify getting ladders.

i wouldnt finish a job of trad,  i dont take my trad stuff out unless i got to do the insides of a chipy,

if i cant get access, just do front and charge for that,

i would like to see what happens if when trying to get access some one falls,  dont think you would be able to claim,

I cant beleive you ask such a silly question and that your getting a roofrack to carry ladders as other peeps has them !!!!!!!!!!!!! iTS OBVIOUS WE CARRY LADDERS TO GAIN ACCESS ONTO ROOFS, BALCONYS , etc,etc what do you clean alday Dean Bungalows !!!!!!!

Occasionally i use mine for re-connecting gutter downpipes for free which is particularly enjoyable on my most underpriced work. ;D

Seriously though, some of these old ladies are con artists especially the friendly ones!

Yawns @ rs, cheers to the rest, my roof rack is for another purpose but thought while I have one should I invest in ladders, think I will now as going to need them at some point as you say for access.

Cos they don't fit in the garage since having half of it converted to an office.

Just ditched my roof rack but carry a 12 foot telescopic in the truck for flat roof access.

I carry ladders too, i also wear a belt with scrapers and squeegees on it and have microfibres and scrims hanging out my pockets. Never used them for ages though, just makes you look like you know what you're doing. And if i come across anything that looks like i might have to use the ladders then i usually say..."you'll need specialists in to take a look, roofers or someone like that".

yep ladders come in handy.

the odd flat roof

opening or getting over locked gates

cleaning conny roofs sometimes as its hard to reach the panels against a wall/fence from the ground.

apart from the above they stay locked up on my roof rack!!i loathe getting them off these days!!wfp has made me lazy!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
price higher/work harder!

Need the ladders for gutter emptying. I do have a gutter vac which is brill but I don't believe it will do everything. You have to be prepared to go up the ladder every now and then.
