I hate drips and any for of leak on my equipment. I have to act imediatly and repair it. I am proud to say no leaks ot drips anywhere but... I was wondering...
is it worth changing and can you get the o rings for the female quick connectors when they start to drip or is it best just to keep replacing them? I seem to have loads laying about as when they start to drip I just replace with new one.

Female quick connect is only £9 and you shouldn't get any drips for about 6 months hard use atleast.

the 2 o rings in the connector are quite simple to change. You just need to buy a hooked tool similar to the tool used by dentists. You will find the first one you do takes a little time but once you have done a few you will be able to do it in seconds. I carry spare connectors in the van and my helper will change o rings as we are on the road.

what size are the o rings and where can they be purchased?

My female on the machine has dripped for about 6 months
but only a tiny puddle after each job.
Don't take machine indoors anyway so no problem but if
I knew where to purchase o rings I would change it.

Best and cheapest place I have ever found is Tool Station they also have an imperial box as well. I always have both boxes on the van.

Lot bloody easier to keep a small selection of basic spare parts on the van. The price of a couple of quick connects isn't going to break ther bank. Some guys also keep a pump and vac in stack then you don't loose work waiting for your machine to be fixed. Why do you want to fiddle about with O rings. Beyond me.

I always carry a spare vac motor, mounted on a frame
which can sit ontop of my Powrflite so can finish the job
before changing motor.
2x male and female Qds
Spare wire and crimp connector kit.
spare machine hoses in case of catastrophic failure.
Spare Pumptec 205 head and eccentric bearing.
vac motor brushes , K valve , hide a hose valve.
Handtool valve for stair tool,
Spare switches in fact just about everything except
a 1/2 horsepower pump motor.
My toolkit includes all spanners and screwdrivers necessary
to do any repair, plus electrical test meter.
In fact the one thing i don't carry is my SPARE MACHINE!!!
