What is the best way to clean old leaded windows internal,struggled to quote the job gave an hourly rate with mutual trust!!!!!!
House dates back to about 1920ish

Any good feedback would be welcome & to all that replied to my last query ref: Best heater in the winter ta very much.got myself a 3kw thingy from argos.

best way 2 scrims one damp one dry for polishing ,labour intensive and slow but good results.also might use microfiber instead

same as him once you get it clean it is easier to do regular, if really bad I will also applicate and squeegie off the most of it then the two scrims

I use a spray bottle with pure water and Unger microfibre cloths,they come up a treat,

the best way, pure water, few drops of ecover washing up liquid and some vinigar mixed in a spray bottle, nothing beats it, no smears or lines if using trad, james44 idea solution, defo the best ever

never heard of this for trad.

I do some leaded windows for a pub and sometimes it looks great until you take a few steps back and see the scrim marks. Also use unger microfibre on it some times. If really dirty i trad them and detail  them with scrim

try it, you will never use anything else ever again, no looking back, pure water ecover washing up liquid, and ad some vinigar, james44 ingredients best glass cleaner in the world, faultless

just for leaded windows or general trad? i trad most days on shops and use squeegee off which is fine

Spent years doing jobs like this.. By far the best way I've find for this type of work is paragon 40cm x 40cm glass cloths rub on (damp cloth)  buff off (dry cloth)
Ditch the scrims not in the same league I promise you give them ago.

Slash and Avo , have it ,, Microfibre is the way forward , with a spray of pure water ,,

scrimmer you can use microfiber with the solution i suggested not just for trad

I think your making work for yourself if you add detergent but with purethere is no smears

actualy it is less work, pure water is good, but does not remove everything from the glass,  anyway it is ust a suggestion, try the solution i suggested, you will love it,
