Newbie - Beverley area, East Yorkshire
« on: November 29, 2011, 06:51:01 pm »
Hi all,

Recently been made redundant and in the process of getting set up in the Beverley area of East Yorkshire, a good mate of mine and his brother have been wfp for a few years and I'd been thinking about it for sometime and now circumstances have led me to take the plunge!

Any advice would be appreciated? Anyone selling work in the area or know of a good canvasser, I will be door knocking myself as well. Should I take the dreaded Groupon route, I know it's low paying, but at the moment I'm not losing good paying work to do the job?

Enough of the questions I know!

Anyway thanks for any responses in advance.

Gareth

Hi Gareth, have you been out with your mate whilst he's used wfp ?

Hi,

Yes I was out with him all day yesterday, bit achey today using muscles not used for many a year, but really enjoyed it and got on well.

So is your plan of action to buy wfp before obtaining customers ?

Hi Gareth, a little off topic, but I passed my HGV in Leconsfield about 1987, not far from Beverley, which was my favourite drinking spot during my stay there.

It's a nice part of the World.

Anyway, canvassing is the best route, in my opinion of finding customers.  And make sure you don't underprice, otherwise you'll suffer for years, or jack it in disillusioned.  Speak to your mate to find out how to price a job.
