Best minibore hose?
« on: November 25, 2011, 06:46:47 pm »
My microbore is stiffening up now from using hot water. I'm thinking of going over to 8mm. Had a scoot around on the internet and prices seem to vary a lot. Wintecs do a branded version and their own and I've seen some orange stuff about somewhere at an inflated price - any good?
Pure freedom seems the best value at the moment?

Your obviously on 6ml now..? Similar problems myself where I ran my fogwash a trifle to hot a few times.., let me know how you get on but I have spoke to Peter at window tools and he said just stick with the hose I got and my normal supplier spoke to their hose people on my behalf who reckon most of the hoses on the market are of very similar standards,I agree with you tho pure freedoms 8ml is well priced, will keep an eye on the post if u do go 8ml and see a better result can u let me know please

Did try Gardiners but it's not good with hot. Lovely hose for cold water though.
I found 8mm far better than the 6mm I normally use. Pump runs a lot slower for the same flow.

Am I right in thinking if I switch to 8ml I have to change all my connectors on the poles and the brass fitting on the hose reel..?

You should really. You can bodge them together and wait for the connectors you have to fail and replace them then.
