What goes around comes around.
« on: November 25, 2011, 05:17:51 pm »
I had a call about 3 weeks ago from an ex customer.
When he was on the books about a year ago he was a right pain, I tried to put his price up and he went mental, eventually I called it a day and dropped him from the round.
He called to ask me to give him a price to clean the whole house, Gutters, facias, windows, in fact everything as he has relatives coming to stay and his house is a right mess.

As it happend I also had to go and quote his next door neighbour so I said I would look at the same time.
He then told me he had already had a quote for £80.

In the end I decided I didnt want to work for him again and certainly not for for 80 quid.
I did the next door neighbours job and forgot about the other fella. until today when he called.
He wanted to know why I never gave him his quote, so I said I didnt see the point as I could not beat £80.
He then wanted to know how much I had charged his neighbour, but when I would not tell him he got really upset. I said its got nothing to do with you what I charge anyone else but he insisted I should tell him.

In the end he said "OK when can you fit me in"? Or in other words, the £80 was a lie and now I feel a prat!

Natuaraly I told him I was now too busy  ;D That felt sooooooooo good

used to be the same when selling new cars... they would come into showroom saying the other Toyota dealer can do the £12000 Yaris for £10000 - which was a lie as they cost the dealer more so I would just say "WOW thats a great deal if I was you I would go and buy it"

then the next thing outta of their mouths would be "Oh .... errr what can you do it for then ??"
