problem window
« on: November 25, 2011, 05:12:19 pm »
Did a first clean this morning - thorough scrub and rinse on all windows etc..
all came up fine apart from one upstairs small window - it looked fine whilst i was washing it, but when it started to dry it was almost like it was misting over - nothing i did made a difference and it was definately on the outside of the glass .
anybody else had experience of this?
customer hasnt contacted me yet so maybe its ok but its bothering me a bit and if she does mention it id like to have a good excuse ready and to be able to sort it!!

from that description it sounds like blown seals and it probably does that every time it rains, the glass will still be clean

Customer did say she is replacing all seals inside coz they are yellow (previous owners were smokers)
Thought it might that but didn't think it would be like that on the outside?

Had one of these years ago, there was a large gap in the seal top dead centre of the frame. Tried blasting it out but it always looked upon drying like a bomb burst across the glass. Ended up trading it (before dropping the customer-too much hassle)although I could have got some sealant and filled the gap.

Guess I'll have to go back and trad it then - might just wait and see if she moans first tho :) if the glass is clean will it just stay like it or will it clear?
