Starting up, getting customers
« on: November 23, 2011, 09:00:44 pm »
Hello everyone, starting up on my own in the new year, going to purchase an RO system from Pure Freedom.

Trying to think realistically about getting customers, if I knocked every night for a few hours and every saturday for a full day how many customers (speaking from your experience) do you think I could get a week?

Also thinking about advertising in the local magazine that goes round all the villages in my area, do any of you advertise in something similar and would you say you gain a lot of work from doing this?

Any replies would be appreciated,

Cheers.

realisticly i believe if ur confident selling door to door and can have a bit of banter an average of 17-25 a week should be achieveable i have advertised a few years back when i first started in the local mag with just a small advert in classifieds at the back and used to get a steady trickle of jobs 3-5 a month, but i did a two page spread and didnt get any

if you have no experience then try to contact someone local to you who can show you the ropes.
when door knocking work out what you are going to say and stick to the script (keep it simple)
look smart and try to present yourself well.
when you get your gear practise on your house and family and friends first!
set yourself realistic targets.  word of mouth is the best advertising you can get.
do a good job and new jobs will come to you.

                                   good luck Dave.
