Altro Flooring Corners
« on: November 21, 2011, 04:31:51 am »
Has anyone tried a small rotary scrubbing machine called CW150 by Premier, its a versatile battery powered one and cost a few hundred to buy. Would be ideal for getting behind toilet areas and corners of altro flooring where the dirt sticks. Would like to know before I purchase one if they work. Would save a lot of knees! If you have, where are they sourced. Quite a few on American sites but will they work here?

Thanks for any help.

TJ KIllis do a machine. Not sure if its the same one you are thinking of.
I once had a Caddy Clean from Contico. Wasnt great. However I do restorations and periodics, not daily cleans.

Its for using on builders cleans where they leave all the dirt in the corners of the joints on the altro flooring in toilets and washrooms and also around the legs of the ips panel partitions. Anyone bought one and found it good?

Oh yeah. We have one of those. Its a solid bit of kit.
We use it with polishing powder on stone to get into the edges.
Its pretty good.
Not so great in around toilets or on coved edging though.

Hi Jamie,

I have been looking at the Edgepro 3000 which is currently on special offer at Amtech.

Why is it not good around toilets and coved edging?

I was going to use it for honing/polishing edges, corners and small rooms/bathrooms.

Thanks

Nigel

The only fault with it is that the brackets holding the handle on are wider than the footprint of the machine meaning you have to tackle edges face on rather than running the machine along the edge.

It's still good for blending edges on stone but would be so much better if you could turn it around. It's still better than having to do it with a flex or orbital though.

Why not just use a Klindex Rocky 13"?

There is another piece of Klindex kit I have had for years. Cant remember what its called or if its still in production. It is an oscillating plate. Comes with pad holder or brush. Also option for long handle with tank or short one for stairs etc.

Jamie,

I think you are referring to the Klindex minipower. Still in the catalogue.
